Match play is an important part of your development as a person, player…champion in life as well as on the tennis court. You will develop coping skills, i.e. how to handle adversity, problem solve and good sportsmanship as well! You are being offered opportunities over the next few weekends as well as match play during your workouts. Look at the schedule and make an effort to get to some of these and the results will be good.
The beginning steps for you are to go into competitive play with an attitude of “ bring it on!” I am here to learn!
A big aid in you learning from each competitive experience is to jot down a few notes after EVERY match. Simply put, the three threes……. And in this order as it is important to start with the positive things first.
